Well, the 'half moon' on many flags is actually a blade of a sword. "According to the Islamic tradition, the sword called Zulfikar belonged to Ali, the first Caliph after the death of Muhammed. Zulfikar is one of the oldest symbols in the Islam and according to Shiites its existance goes back to Adam, who carried it out of Eden down to the Earth. The tradition says that the sword once belonged to Muhammed too, who gave it to Ali before his death." www.crwflags.com/fotw/flags/tr-zulf.htmlOf course, according to some Christian traditions it's safer to keep a sword in a stone.

Of course, according to some Christian traditions it's safer to keep a sword in a stone. King Arthur is most unlikely to have been Christian, so it should probably be regarded as a pagan tradition. And paganism has led to far fewer deaths than Islam or Christianity AFAIK. It's a proper "religion of peace" (or, more correctly, "religions" since there isn't just one version of paganism). www.quora.com/Was-King-Arthur-a-Christian-even-if-Christianity-was-not-widespread-yet-in-Britain

Mostly ritually 'killed' by bending them. Francis Pryor, the expert on Bronze Age archaeology wrote some interesting books and also presented some documentaries. Near where I lived, and where my sister lives is Ludwell Close. Nearby is a freshwater spring, which was potable when I was a young lad. Lud was a major Celtic deity.

Sri Lanka has banned the burqa and niqab. Good for them. Just a pity that they didn't go to the root of the problem and ban Islam itself.

"Latest Sri Lanka Arrest Throws Spotlight on Wahhabism in Eastern Hotbed KATTANKUDY, Sri Lanka — Sri Lankan authorities have arrested a Saudi-educated scholar for what they claim are links with Zahran Hashim, the suspected ringleader of the Easter Sunday bombings, throwing a spotlight on the rising influence of Salafi-Wahhabi Islam on the island's Muslims. Mohamed Aliyar, 60, is the founder of the Centre for Islamic Guidance, which boasts a mosque, a religious school and a library in Zahran's hometown of Kattankudy, a Muslim-dominated city on Sri Lanka's eastern shores." www.nytimes.com/reuters/2019/05/12/world/asia/12reuters-sri-lanka-blasts-arrest.html
