I'm not a newbie here but I have returned after a protracted break. I'm not sure if I recognize a single poster here. Any way, happy New Year and keep well Where have you been and who gave you permission to take a break, let alone a protracted break?

Given that IKEA appears to be a second home for gay (of the homosexualist type), perhaps I shouldn't be surprised that they're also selling them. It may be a rumor but I have heard the English even eat them

Very popular in Wales where I grew up. Brains gay are the best. I was delighted a few years ago to discover a pack in the freezer at Villa.

Uh, I did not write that. The substitutions of words on this site is at times a tad tedious. I wrote "Brains f a g g o t s".

^^^ You would be thinking of Brains SA. No one knows what the SA stands for. It might be "Special Ale", or "Samuel Arthur". (Samuel Arthur Brain was the cofounder of the brewery.) Others suggest it's "Skull Attack". Personally not a fan, though.
As for "mushy peas", they're really not a Welsh thing. Certainly never had them as a child. T'North of England is more their natural home.
