When asked how AyG might respond to the news How AyG would actually respond to the news is: that its Q1 profits of $438 were made up from selling regulatory credits ($518 million) and $101 million from buying Bitcoin, hyping the currency, then selling it (which sounds borderline illegal to me). Without these it would have lost $181 million in Q1. In other words, Tesla lost almost $1,000 for every car sold in the quarter. Hardly the sign of a successful business. More detail at " Tesla Loses A Lot Of Money Selling Cars, But Makes It All Back On Credits And Bitcoin".

More detail at " Tesla Loses A Lot Of Money Selling Cars, But Makes It All Back On Credits And Bitcoin". A closer examination of the comments section of that article produces some interesting reader observations: "and would they have the credits to sell without selling the BEVs first? And would they have received the Bitcoin without having something to give in exchange for that Bitcoin... something like a BEV perhaps? And do you think their continued expansion of their auto product line and manufacturing is happening for free?" Meanwhile, analysts reported on CNN said: "They're not going to stay at 80-90% share of the EV market, but they can keep growing even with much lower market share," said Daniel Ives, a technology analyst with Wedbush Securities. "We're looking at north of 3 million to 4 million vehicles annually as we go into 2025-26, with 40% of that growth coming from China. We believe now they are on the trajectory that even without [the EV] credits they'll still be profitable." It's not like you AyG to post STAR newspaper quality links to support your argument, it's a very TVF like style, what happened?

I thought so, his idea of porn is listening to a 426 hemi with a six pack purr. Electricity, that's for charging shavers and powering the VCR and the 8 track.

I read it that the rate would be lower if he was on board, such is the appeal of the man, his charisma and all! For goodness sake, he's even hosting Saturday Night Live, what more do you want! When was the last time the CEO of Toyota or Ford did something like that, eh?

It appears that Musk has been lying about the capabilities of Tesla's advanced driver assist system. Such lying (and it's hardly the first time) can only distort the company's share price. It's really time (a) the company's board shut him up permanently, and (b) the authorities stepped in to punish him for his illegal actions. www.theverge.com/2021/5/7/22424592/tesla-elon-musk-autopilot-dmv-fsd-exaggeration

And if you read the article in detail AyG you will see that Elon's (yes, we're on first name terms now) discussions with DMV are slightly different, sometimes, from those with analysts, analysts who appear to think tweets are policy statements! Everyone's looking a for a reason for Tesla and Elon to fail, it's like those guys who predict the coming markets crash. If they get it absolutely right their futures will be made, they'll be ferkin hero's who must be listened to. One way to achieve that is to parrot some negative story, every single day.

For gods sake, every company markets their products to extremes And when marketing their products they are bound by the laws of advertising. Lying is not permitted, and that is what Musk has done repeatedly. Musk is deliberately flouting those laws by repeatedly making misleading statements about Tesla and about cryptocurrencies that Tesla owns, ramps, then sells. This is despite having been ordered by the SEC to step down as Tesla’s Chairman, for Tesla to Appoint Additional Independent Directors, and to Pay $40 Million in Penalties for securities fraud relating to his tweets. In short, the man is a criminal. If he weren't so wealthy, he'd be behind bars by now.

Bound by the laws of advertising, as if there really were such things in practice.

I dont know whats going on with Tesla, I see the UK FTSE soaring, yet I am taking a hit on my ITs, so much for taking a defensive position. Down about 3% this week.

Apparently Musk is on Saturday Night Live. According to CNN
The article also suggests he's likely to attempt further to ramp Dogecoin.
Interestingly, he's now claiming he's autistic. Wonder if that's going to be used as a legal defence next time the SEC comes calling. However, his inability to control what he says sounds more like Tourette's to me.
