Moms everywhere would say the same, mine did at times. Can only appreciate the loyalty. "Elon Musk’s mother calls on critics to ‘stop being mean’ to him: ‘He gets a lot of hate’ Elon Musk’s mother has urged the billionaire’s critics to “stop being mean to him” and says that because of his massive success her son “gets a lot of hate.” Maye Musk defended the new Twitter owner in a BBC documentary in the United Kingdom in which she described the world’s richest person as a “genius.” Mr Musk, who is also the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, has come under a withering barrage of criticism since his chaotic $44bn purchase of Twitter." sg.finance.yahoo.com/news/elon-musk-mother-calls-critics-200130557.html"Even Elon Musk's mom admits no one wants to be him: 'He gets a lot of hate. Stop being mean to him.' - Elon Musk is smarter than Einstein, the former talent chief of SpaceX told a BBC documentary. - Dolly Singh said Musk's legacy would be a combination of Einstein, Rockefeller and Tesla. - Musk's mother, Maye, said everyone admires her son but admitted no one would want to be him." www.businessinsider.com/musk-einstein-tesla-rockefeller-combined-says-former-spacex-executive-2022-10

I wonder what Twitter's value is at the moment. "All Twitter Offices Closed as Hundreds of Employees Resign Twitter offices are shutting down and employees are leaving in droves following an ultimatum from Elon Musk on Wednesday. The CEO asked Twitter employees to either commit to an “extremely hardcore” culture at the company that involves “long hours at high intensity” or leave with severance, the Verge reported. Anyone who did not sign the pledge by 5 p.m. ET Thursday would reportedly receive three months of severance pay, The Washington Post reported." www.yahoo.com/entertainment/twitter-offices-closed-hundreds-employees-010903837.html

The End is Near. Trump's twitter account restored after 51.8% of those who voted said yes. Musk even went so far as twittering "The people have spoken. Trump will be reinstated. Vox Populi, Vox Dei". The last reminds me of the overwhelming majority that voted for brexit. "Musk restores Trump's Twitter account after online poll" www.yahoo.com/news/musk-restore-trump-twitter-holding-010323955.html

Free speech but rumour has it not against Elon M. himself too openly. "Twitter stops enforcing Covid-19 misinformation policy Several top executives overseeing content moderation policies and enforcement, including Twitter’s former head of Trust and Safety, Yoel Roth, have left the company. Twitter will no longer stop users from spreading false information about the Covid-19 virus or vaccines, according to an update on its content moderation policies. It’s another major shift under new owner Elon Musk, who has pressed for “free speech” above all else on the platform. Twitter’s Covid-19 misinformation page was updated with a note saying that as of Nov. 23, the platform would no longer enforce its policies against spreading misleading information on the virus and vaccines — which had led to more than 11,000 account suspensions since 2020." www.politico.com/news/2022/11/29/twitter-stops-enforcing-covid-19-misinformation-policy-00071110

One might wonder what type of paying advertisers are looking forward to Elon Musk living out his vision for Humanity.
"Elon was just asked why he bought Twitter. This was his answer:
"My biological neural net concluded it's important to buy Twitter. If Twitter was not bought and steered in a good direction it would be a danger for the future of civilization. And so that's why I bought it.""

When I log in into Twitter I see lots of Elon Musk's twits and reactions from or questions of 'nice' people (aka idiots and fools).
Example you ask?
"Dear @elonmusk , now that you've purchased @twitter and are purging the platform of its progressive biases, do you think that you could purchase all universities to help purge them of the idea pathogens that are destroying the West?"

Looks like Elon Musk went of off the far end. Mind you this is from the 24th of December last year.
"To be totally frank, almost every conspiracy theory that people had about twitter turned out to be true"

Not really convinced this is good news for twitter users, but it may help to pay Elon Musk's mounting bills. "With the Super Bowl less than two weeks away, two major advertisers, PepsiCo and Anheuser-Busch InBev, have pledged to making big outlays: PepsiCo has committed to spending more than $3 million on Twitter takeover ads—Twitter’s flagship ad product—on the day of the Super Bowl, according to a person with direct knowledge and an internal document viewed by The Information. And Anheuser-Busch InBev has committed to spending $2.4 million on takeover ads, including at least four in the weeks leading up to ... ..."

A cunning plan? "Leaked Musk Email Puts Twitter Valuation At $20 Billion Elon Musk bought Twitter amidst an overhyped social media frenzy last year for $44 billion, but the company's value has now dropped to less than half of what Musk paid for it. According to a report from The Information, Musk recently doled out stock grants to employees which valued Twitter at roughly $20 billion. Citing internal communication, The Wall Street Journal also reports that the employee stock awards are based on putting the company's net worth at approximately $20 billion. FYI.
Twitter Inc. is now X Corp.
So instead of twittering we'll be X-ing.

As you know or should know all is well with twitter. Elon Musk and his sycophants keep telling us. "Twitter Spaces groans under weight of Ron DeSantis and Elon Musk's egos It should really take more than half a million people to melt your servers ... One of the suggestions that Twitch may have for Twitter is to not fire more than 80 percent of your staff and cut your engineering team to a mere 550 people who are worried they won't be able to maintain the service. Twitter has also been bouncing its backend between datacenters, which caused at least a couple of glitches and outages earlier this year. With Musk's modus operandi appearing to center on not paying bills to cut costs, the bird site may simply not have the infrastructure left to handle a large – or even moderate, by internet standards – influx of users. We asked Twitter for an explanation of its performance yesterday, but in lieu of a helpful response only received the poop emoji. Again. ®" www.theregister.com/2023/05/25/twitter_spaces_ron_desantis/?utm_source=weekly&utm_medium=newsletter&utm_content=article
