Speculation is rife on the old interweb after Palace chiefs called an urgent meeting of all staff - even the sweatys - abdication? Phillip has carked it ? Liz carked it? in my opinion as a casual palace observer, this is probably a hands up moment, ok ok guys yes its true, Hazza Hewitt is not Charlies kid. We must speak out seeing as Hazza is in a mental tailspin and off doinking hollywood hasbeens.
any thoughts on what could be so important?

He was the Godfather of common sense over PC After the British Dunblane massacre he said: "If a cricketer, for instance, suddenly decided to go into a school and batter a lot of people to death with a cricket bat, which he could do very easily, I mean, are you going to ban cricket bats?"
On the subject of sweatys and driving "How do you keep the natives off the booze long enough to pass the test?"
To the abos on a visit to Oz "Do you still throw spears at each other?"
God bless you Philip, we will never forget your humour,(and nor will the Indians)

I always have suspicions when a Spokesman says...."As far as I am aware..." It reminds me of times when large companies had people who if they told the executives it was a good time to buy xxxx they did. The person did not telll. them it was based on inside knowledge so they could safely say that it was not insider trading because the advisor did not have authority to buy. Not saying it is the case here though

Maybe it's because Prince Andrew has, at last, decided to come out as gay? (And everybody thought Edward was the queer one.) Perhaps he wants a grand wedding to his favourite sodomite at Westminster Abbey?
Another royal wedding. Another public holiday. What is there to complain about?

Regarding who it seems called the meeting.
The Lord Chamberlain's Office is a department of the Royal Household and is headed by the Comptroller. It is responsible for organising ceremonial activities including state visits, investitures, garden parties, the State Opening of Parliament, weddings and funerals.
It is a well known fact that everything is ready to go in the event of a sudden change in the role of the monarchy whatever that change may be and entail. Possibly there is a general briefing and a reminder of the papers signed regarding secrecy by employees within the Royal Household.
Speculation is rife at the moment but I am of the opinion that this current issue is more concerned with protocols and duties as opposed to a real life or death situation.
Abdication I am sure can be ruled out as well as death after that? . Well as said ''speculation.''

A caveat to some of you.
The draconian laws here regarding L M also apply to foreign monarchies, actions could be taken if a comment was to be misconstrued .
The U K is far more tolerant regarding the criticism and lampooning of its leading members of society no matter from which sector of society they may come from.
Other sovereign states are not as tolerant of such matters, please be careful of that which you write here or elsewhere.

These "anti-pc" comments never fail to to make me smile and shake my head. If someone made a degrading or insulting comment about the wife or daughter of one of these anti-pc protesters they would suddenly forget their whining. 😂
