At least 26 people were injured, four seriously, when turbulence hit a China Eastern Airlines flight from Paris on Sunday, state media reports. The turbulence struck as flight MU774 was on its way to Kunming, in the southern Yunnan province. Passengers suffered broken bones, cuts to the scalp and soft tissue injuries, the Xinhua state news agency reported. China Eastern Airlines later said it was crucial passengers wear seatbelts as flights descend. "I was on the flight, and I felt like I would not survive," the Hong Kong- based South China Morning Post quoted one passenger as saying on the Weibo microblogging site. "Many people were injured, and among them, many had not buckled up." www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-china-40318846

True, but these things also happen with sudden 'bumps' when the 'buckle up' light is still off.
Reading again, I see this was on the descend and yes always the light on, required to buckle up. Seem people still preparing to rush off the plane after landing. The stewardesses sometimes need real power to get those to sit down and buckle up. Idiots.

Never understood that as we all have to wait to taxi and park.
Us regular fliers don't do that nonsense.

I'd say a law should be there for those who won't buckle up same as for cars. I don't get these pricks. Fine them.
