We're in the process of buying a new house. Mrs Smile. in her wisdom wanted to have an engineer check it out for faults. I wasn't too fussed to be honest.
But having just done it this morning, I was well impressed and would recommend it to anyone buying here. They did a great job looking at everything from electrics, drains, finish, structure etc. It also included hose-piping the whole house to check for leaks - not something I would have thought of.
Took about 2.5 hours. Cost was only THB 5,000, and that will have paid for itself several times over in my view, plus it saves us the effort of trying to do ourselves. You'd probably pay that for someone to just turn up in the UK, never mind do anything
. They produce a report in about 3 days which we then pass to the developer and say we want doing before moving in. They will do a follow up 2nd visit for about THB 3,000 to check it's done if you want.
