You do know that Jamieson was Scottish? Now now Blether, you may be worldly wise but please don't try to school me on the origins of Jamesons. It was the Haig brothers (Jameson was married to Margeret Haig) that fronted the money and set him up in Ireland, as they (allegedly) saw him as competition . So it's Scottish right enough. Just sayin'

Anyone after a cheap Scottish Whisky, they now sell Bells at 7-11. Lovely label, eh?

Bells was the first drink that I got smashed on. It also saw me through my first 2 years in the military but when I got posted to Berlin the duty free Famous Grouse and Pernod (from the NAAFI & NAAFI bars/discos) took over.

I think I got 'smashed' on Chivas Regal, at age 17. Luckily at a cousin's home with understanding uncle Don't think I ever got smashed in the Army. I was already 25 when drafted and somehow got posted 6km from my mother's home. After the first month or two I could take my bicycle to go home for the night. From what I saw and heard next days I missed out mostly on headache only

Mr Tiger you forgot to mention the price, at 499 baht per litre it cant be beaten. Personally I would touch the stuff, gasahol 91 is only about 26 baht per litre at your local Shell pump.
