Terrible tragedy and almost as bad were the disgusting comments posted on TVF. Some of those scumbags really are the dregs of society, trolls at their worse. I would not be surprised if that thread had more comments removed than every gerbil/duck/Israeli thread ever made. The way those filthy Thai-bashing morons used the horrid death of those two English kids as an excuse to attack Thailand's authorities and the people themselves was one of the reasons I committed hari-kari and got myself banned, by attacking trolls with a passion. And the way the mods allowed it to keep going in order to collect clicks stank as well.

You have to be pretty blind to deny that something is not quite right on Koh Tao- I mean that's one hell of a list of deaths in just that article.
I never thought the two Burmese lads were guilty of the murder there, and still think influential people are being protected. Even Drylie contradicts himself
Mosha - you are probably right about it being Sichon Steve,

I remember the Surat Thani police chief's words at the time. "Normally we would pick up 2 Burmese workers and pin it on them, but the world's eyes are on us and we must carry out a proper investigation. An arrest was said to be imminent. Then his time in Surat was up and he was replaced. The line of investigation was dropped, and the police went with plan A.

Truth is we have two scapegoats framed for a horrific double murder and no one in Thai authority cares.. .they are just two immigrants. Obviously in the case of the Russian girl the body has been dumped far at sea. Sadly these scum have learnt a little from experience. Anyone visiting Koh Tao must be insane.

The only local authority that seems to control the kamnams and the pu yais is the nai amphur.A couple in La-Un have been removed by one. Drugs related. The police appear to be below them.

Even Drylie contradicts himself Mosha - you are probably right about it being Sichon Steve, There are many faces when it comes to corruption - the open, public one where the local motorbike cop sticks a hundred baht in his top pocket and waves you on, nice little bit of tea money that. Then you have the hidden side, where the guilty are protected and get away with it (murder) and someone else gets pinned with it. Or, the scumbag does a runner to Singapore and gives Thai law the middle finger from there.

The owner of Samui Times does not live in Thailand so they are not going to have much success with their lawsuit....perhaps other than banning the website in Thailand.

It is perhaps interesting to note the first reaction of the Koh Tao collective is to try to silence anyone talking about the highly unusual number of deaths and disappearances on their island.
You would think they would be asking for transparency really if there is nothing untoward going on.
