Paul Nicholls, the former star of EastEnders, has admitted he is "lucky to be alive" after he broke his leg after plunging down a waterfall in Thailand, leaving him trapped for three days in the jungle with no food. The 38-year-old, who played Joe Wicks in the BBC show, had travelled on his own to the remote beauty spot on the island of Koh Samui. The alarm was reportedly only raised when a local villager saw a motorbike. Contacting the local police, they found it had been hired by the Briton and he had gone missing, the Sun reported. After searching for hours through the dense vegetation, rescuers found the actor trapped in water at the foot of Khun Si falls. He was was semi-conscious and had hypothermia after his injuries had prevented him from climbing out of the water for three days. In all that time, he hadn't been able to eat anything. www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2017/07/19/ex-eastenders-star-lucky-alive-thailand-waterfall-accident-leaves/
