I vaguely remember watching "Pink Floyd live at Pompeii" on a video cassette on a bloody big tv, lying in a bean bag, smoking Winfield red, drinking hot Bundy rum. No idea what decade that was.

I have to admit that Pink Floyd was never really my thing. My brothers were into it. Budgie was more to my taste. And some Genesis. The Beatles sort of, as far as UK music went anyway.

I won't even try to remember the Black Sabbath, Richie Blackmores Rainbow, Butterfly Ball, Deep Purple thing. Musical chairs.

I thought the red led was on Pulse, never had it on CD but had a Pan Thip dvd. Yep it was Pulse with the led, just googled it. I think mine flashed for years. Was that after "Delicate sound of thunder"? Forgot I had that too. Good album from memory. Anyway my cd's have long been binned. Have most stuff on flash drives now.

Well I just had a google wander down memory lane. I was getting meddled between momentary lapse of reason, pulse, and the division bell; which were about the only albums I had other than the final cut on cassette. The vinyls my brothers had.

oldie, have pulled a fews Cds out of the cabinet today, they had the concert stubs from the album,/tour.
I remember years ago I could go to a concert for a ticket that cost the same price of a vinyl album. Later I could go watch a concert for the same price of a cd, or watch groups like Floyd for the same price as a double cd.
Those days are long gone, was in the UK a few years ago, Neil Young, Springsteen etc were on tour, cheapo ticket was about A$120, thats to stand about 100 yards from the stage and look at ants performing on a big screen telly.
I gave them a miss, and headed to a local watering hole that had a blues/folk night for A$10 a ticket, douben bonus, proper real ale on tap, at non ripp off prices.

I can't remember the last big show I went to. Maybe Jethro Tull about 20 years ago in some hall in Sydney. Cambo plays his guitar at the local most Fridays if that counts.
