It takes 2 weeks to quit the drink. Then concentrate on getting the right medications that work for you.

Hey Buhi, I have a few loose parts rattling inside my skull as most will remember.
For me the combination of that with long hours of shift work, alcohol, and some medication throws me over the edge.
I now basically avoid alcohol and medications (even over the counter meds). It works for me but each to their own. I still have my moments but now I know when to pull back (however suicide is the last thing on my mind).
You are an intelligent man. Something needs to change.

Alcohol is a dangerous master and a horrible death as well. Lost a good friend at 63 yesterday after 2 weeks in ICU following an oesophageal bleed caused by his drinking. Left behind many distraught family and friends. What a waste of a good bloke....I don't give that accolade easily either. A free spirit he was and a real human being. RIP David you randy old goat  . |
