Nice one. I am not a Mozart expert, rarely listen to his stuff. Great it is, but of the Pop variety. My stupid opinion. But that rendition had soul. Fortunately i can read French. How dare you. You endlessly listen to Mozart's Requiem:

LT → French → Kate & Anna McGarrigle → English A lament for Sainte-Catherine (Complainte pour Ste. Catherine)
Artist: Kate & Anna McGarrigle Song: Complainte pour Ste. Catherine
English translation A lament for Sainte-Catherine
Me, I walk along Ste Catherine Getting the warmth from the Métro I don’t look through the shop windows When it’s thirty below zero We’ve been in politics for a long time Twenty years of war against the mosquitos I don’t feel intrepid When it snows I don’t go skiing I don’t have a motel in the Laurentians Sunday night is hockey night We’ve been in politics for a long time Twenty years of war against the mosquitos Don’t think that I’m an fool Because I don’t drive a convertible The glory is fairly useless At the price of gas it’s too distressing We’ve been in politics for a long time Twenty years of war against the mosquitos We’re all brothers ’cause we make sure to always have a good time Because we’re on the earth of men And women and children as well We’ve been in politics for a long time Twenty years of war against the mosquitos Don’t believe that we’re not Christians On Sundays we walk our dogs

Thanks Rubl, uncle. It was intense last night. My son and Boy, adopted son, speaking from the heart. Boy 's father died when he was but ten years old. He became the father then, the support for his mother. He adopted me as a father figure. A relief,a release for him. I ,strange as it may be, am able to speak to his mother as no other can. Boy can speak to my son as no other can. The tragedy and glory of life. Our lives. Small, of no significance. The reality i write of.

Beethoven's string quartets are nice, but with the rain still going on at the moment I'm more for a light, poppy type of music, from Georg Friedrich Händel The String Quartets are not "nice", far from it. Not easy listening, neither to be listened to at all. Unless in little dilutions. A week and i am only half way through. Oh superficially listened before, but not in depth. Some are accessible, but with a but. Back to easy Haydn. Opinions, opinions. I said nice, I meant nice. Now if we move to Bartok, Stockhausen, then as far as I'm concerned we move to something difficult

Finally found the scene I was reminded of last night.
After her love Pamino wouldn't speak to her (he was being tested) and the dressing down from her mother (giving her a knife to kill Sarastro), Pamina despairs and calls the knife her groom. But don't worry, saved by the three boys who will lead her to her beloved Pamino.
With French subtitles

Original Footage Toppop Dutch TV 1976 I recognised the song immediately, probably listened to it in those days but forgotten all about it. 41 years ago already? How time flies!

I doubt you want truths. Truth one:
Somehow this track is Colchester, England. Marty an heroine addict, boyfriend of my ex wife's older sister. He overdosed. Dear ex father in law, the great doctor came too late. Or maybe not.
Older sister soon found another, as did ex wife. So it is. I will only write my stuff on here from now on. Ignore . Mostly music. Sometimes poems. Ofhttps://youtu.be/dRwq9HrkTI0 all else i absolve myself from.
