Mystery surrounds death of British student who fell 31 floors from Thailand hotel Maxine Missick was discovered last Friday by a passing motorcyclist. Police chiefs in Hat Yai, southern Thailand, believe the former Keele University student “either committed suicide by jumping or she fell accidentally” and have ruled out foul play. But friends have demanded the authorities carry out further investigations, insisting the 23-year-old was “cheerful” and “full of life”. Inspector General Sornpet Tantiamonchaikul, from the Hat Yair Police Department, said officers were awaiting results from post-mortem tests before ruling on the official cause of death. He said: “Police were notified by the rescue foundation about the accident involving the British tourist Maxine Missick. She was staying alone in the room. “In the room there was no damage or signs of violence www.express.co.uk/news/world/846835/Maxine-Missick-death-Keele-student-fell-31-floors-Thailand-hotel
