A friend who lives up Bueng Kam has noticed his local Tesco has some big price rises eg Nescafe Red Label and Lowrie butter up 30%. I haven't noticed the coffee going up at our corner shops. Any one else seeing this.

Butter in our local Tesco Lotus express 121 baht the local C P shop 150 metres away 89 baht, same butter Coffee mate Tesco 118, local Chinese cut price shop 105 baht.
Same shop sells genuine branded goods at anything from 10 to 15%cheaper than Tesco and has done for the last 5 years or so too.
Her what shouts and spends the money as have I also noticed that many items in 7-11 are cheaper than Tesco too. Cheese slices (the kids and grandson love them, I don't, cheese slices that is not the kids!!) Glico snacky things biscuits, Pretz etc often 3 to 5 baht cheaper too.
Tesco it seems is slowly increasing prices by anything up to 25% where they assume they have a captive market.
