What is the answer? 36 or 4? If you apply PEMDAS it is 4. Personally I aren't letting a division give way to a multiplication that didn't even bother turning up. 36 for me.

It is 36.
Expressions in parentheses are evaluated first so we have 60 ÷ 5 × 3
Multiplication and division are of equal precedence, so are evaluated left to right, giving 12 × 3 = 36.

I agree completely. But apparently (according to another site) if you throw in big words like "equallateral hypothesis" the answer is 4, and it seems the vocal majority are winning. Typical.
