A report in loss of cabin pressure caused the crew to take the aircraft down to a safer altitude. I'm sure the cabin crew panicking help the passenger confidence. bbc.in/2glo56H

Unprofessional and the crew involved should be sacked...their actions have escalated the situation

“One of the stewardesses started running down the aisle and we thought, ‘why is she running?’ And then the masks fell down and everybody started panicking. Nobody told us what was going on,” she said.
What is in the emergency breifing before each plane starts...the lady should have taken her mobile phone earphones out for it. In the event of the masks dropping from the ceiling place them over your face and breath...put your own on before helping others. So she was told.
And of course the stewerdess ran, to get to her emergency position to control the situation.
"Merv Loy said the only instructions they received in English were to put their seatbelts on and “Brace”.
What else is needed.

Don't forget that some drama is required if you want to screw the airline for millions implore the airline to pay for a drink or two afterwards.

From the link. I'd forgotten about that one...
In December 2014, an AirAsia plane crashed into the Java Sea, killing all 162 people on board after the aircraft's rudder control system malfunctioned during the flight
I thought rudder which controls yaw wouldnt cause a plane to go down. Elevator yes but not rudder.

I think there have been a few planes crash after the rudder/ tail fell off. An Airbus A320 (?) in America after the pilot hammered the rudder back and forward too many times. A JAL Boeing 747? Time to hit Google and report back...

Time to hit Google and report back... One plane cannot remember what had several crashes due to uncommanded rudder operation. All flight depends on co-ordinated operation and control of all flight surfaces. Balance.......

Elevator yes but not rudder. The first effect of rudder is yaw. Secondary effect is roll. Push the left rudder down and the plane will first turn left, then roll left. (So I do remember at least one of my gliding lessons)
