Before you start I didn't partake. I was in a local late night restaurant by myself and noticed a girl I had seen earlier working at a regular bar. She joined me, we chatted, then she said she would go with me for 3,000 baht. I was amazed at the quote, and at being asked. It turns out I had mistaken the girl, she was the double of the one I had seen earlier.
3,000 baht?
I went home alone. No need to play around, my schoolteacher is enough for any man.

It amazes me anyone feels the need to pay a Thai hooker. Even the fat ugly ones get their back door kicked in daily.

Yawn........of course no-one here ever pays, or would only pay 500 at most for one that looks like a model.
I was talking to someone in Jools once, seemed genuine enough, told me he came business class. And a bit later to confirm how clever he was he said that the night before he got one from the soi for 500.
Yawn........

I was talking to someone in Jools once, seemed genuine enough, told me he came business class. Jools was an interesting place....plenty alcoholics and amongst them a few genuine movers n shakers if you were canny enough to spot the difference. Shame to see it in Samsen now. |

Jools was a LEGENDARY place and a respite from the snobs and shakers and movers that frequented the place round the corner, bunch of up themselves types. Characters that used to use Jools,  , Big Spence (big black american guy, a relic of a bygone era, Vietnam war vet), threatened to burn the place to the ground coz Kim wouldnt serve him another beer. Matty Swires, a complete gentleman, would give you the shirt off his back, what a guy. Big Dave, first met him in the Frang Connection in Nana Plaza years ago, little did I know, he would end up buying the place,his story is like something from a le carre spy novel. And finally, STAN, , all these years later, the last man standing. Bumped into him a few years ago, was sat outside at the Dynasty Inn and saw Stan shuffling up the soi to Jools, same haircut etc etc, Stan, LEGEND. |

Big Dave after being seriously turned over by his missis was last heard of happily back in the UK and earning well again. After a period of not so well. Big lad with a big heart.
Stan sadly died slowly and badly of cancer. I could say more but let the poor git rest. Last man standing as you say rgs.

Another place not mentioned, The Bamboo Bar suk soi 3, right opposite the Grace, watched the Omanis getting into it with the Saudis in there one night.
I was busy in a session with the iranians and the iraqis, what a place.

Back to 3,000 baht, its a suckers price, head to Pattaya, 500 baht bar fine and 1,000 baht for an all nighter.
3,000 baht is just for a st, add on the barfine, 750 baht (if you are lucky) toss in a few lady drinks and a couple of beers for yourself, you can easily be 5,000 baht out of pocket, thats before you add in the 500 baht cost of some grubby st place.
Remember years ago in Pattaya, places like the Bullion bar, 300 baht st, 100 baht for the barfine, 100 baht for the girl and 100 baht to rent the room upstairs.

Hey- you guys are just like the people who set the wages of NES teachers in Thailand and basically haven't let them rise a centimeter in three decades- inflation and cost of living be damned.

Far from it, best of luck to these girls, the dumb farang only has himself to blame. Its not so long back I used to hear them say, "its only mickey mouse money", "never going home" Aye the 70baht + to the pommie peso brigade, now they frequent the web moaning about their mickey mouse pensions and no raise coz they live in Thailand, hell mend them. The same blue rinse brigade who even though they have lived here for years, are unable to string a sentence together in Thai. The same mugs who think Bkk only consists of Nana Plaza to Soi Cowboy. I dont partake in P4P, but if I did, I know the local prices and where to go, and it sure as heck aint Lower Suk. No wonder guys are flying in to Thailand and giving Bkk a bodyswerve, taxi from the airport straight to Pattaya, they tell me the going rate there is, 500 baht barfine, and 1,000 baht all nighter, with no BS phone calls such as, have to go now, my sister lose key to loom, I go let her in. As mentioned by another poster, if you are into that sort of thing, better value can be had in Cyprus, Spain Portugal etc etc. |

Yet another all-night session. and I was supposed to be having a quiet night in.
Oh, well. I'll just need to pay the piper, it was me that called the tune for today.
500 baht for the HIV lottery on the streets in Chiang Mai. HIV or robbed, take your pick. I was in a place last night that I have frequented for years. This is not a lady bar - and yet, the last twice the freelancers have offered to sell themselves in return for a 500 baht bar fine, and 2 - 3,000 baht. I demurred.
I don't want this place to venture into the lady bar trade, We need a late night place where we can relax without that B.S.
