my beloved better half has <duck>ed up a bit over the last two weeks...she went with junior and MIL to her home village and told me she will be back in 3-4 days...
4 days later she called and informed me they have to do a very important ritual with the baby...ok so be it
another two days later she told me her nephew will join the monk brigade and she have to attend...ok so be it
the day after her family decided to have another ceremony for her deceased grand parents...ok...
than she called and informed me the taxi driver wouldn't be available...end of story i booked a flight
i asked her to call the airline if she needs any additional papers...she called and said everything is ok
3 hours before her departure she called me that she need now the birth certificate for junior though i jumped home(not knowing where the dam'n paper is but find it)scanned it and mailed it to her...
finally they arrived well but not even one word of excuse and she know i've been p**sed...
but yesterday when i came home my preferred perfume and a few new base caps appeared together with a smile on her face...
think this way is the better one...

I'm like this mind. I get to a place meaning to head straight back, can't face the travelling and stay put using any old excuse. Used to drive the old woman up the wall.

I just do as the Thais do, say nothing, when the day comes I am supposed to go somewhere I revert to Thai style and give the old sore stomach excuse. I also learned years ago to have selective hearing, if its going to cost me time or money I just ignore it. |

I'm like this with minivans. We went to Samui the cheap way using the ferry and fly with airasia.....but I insisted on a taxi from airport to Donsak....I just can't bear those feckin minivans. Taxi cost more than the flight/ferry combo. We flew back direct.  |

Well tonite i called her,and she was too busy to take my call talking all the time to other people,when i asked her who,it was her son,now she has all day to talk to him,not when i call,i politely replied i would call at another more convenient time and hung up,to be followed by five missed calls and a solly text,i was amazed,maybe i will hang it out for a day or two,i will have to go now the russians next to me are shouting down the phone,it sounds like they are planning the final assault on Stalingrad,much yelling and gesticulating,thank god they are moving me to another bungalow tomorrow.

I think you are over the top with your views about Russians, I have always found them to be polite, ok not as refined as the Chinese. As for your wife not anwering the calls, give her a break, she may'be has an issue with her cousin or perhaps she wants to surprise you when you get home. May'be the guy has been out all day cutting tree and has some good wood for her. For sure she will be happy for you, after all, you and she are the "same same" person. Simply put if she gets effed, so do you. Don't forget to send money, as chainsaw oil costs alot. As a post script, if you want the Russians to calm down, tell them you are from Chechnia.
