No I do not want to be your friend, no I dont want to hear your life story, just eff off and leave me alone. Seen it too many times, go upcountry, and some impoverished farang comes crawling out the jungle like some sort of robinson crusoe, desperate for a fellow traveller to talk to, his problem is, he has been in the jungle that long, he has forgotten how to speak english, speaks pigeon english and uses hand gestures. For the guy having a rant, I thought to myself, you lucky bastid, at least no one was trying to hit you up for a loan for yet another get rich quick scheme. My favourites are these effin talk ins, guys who live overseas, but know about all things thai. Too be honest, there appears to be some sort of clique, its a bit like watching the back slapping oscars where they all vote for each other. |
