And not a single native English speaker amongst them.

The BP article doesn't mention teachers only that some of the raids were at places popular to foreigners, schools and other places of learning. Anyway, I wonder how many of these types of illegals are still in Thailand and for how many years the RTP can have one such success a week

And over 1400 arrests at over 3700 locations. I am sure it is just me but there is something there........., probably a lie down and a nice cup of tea will help.

I still remember a Minister of Interior, Pure-as-Snow his name was I think (or maybe the Thai version like Purachai?). He stated that Foreign Tourists came to Thailand to visit temples and that at 6AM. That explained why early closing hours of bars and other venues wouldn't be a problem as most would already be sound asleep or not visiting those places of vice anyway. Now I would assume that in line with this it shouldn't be a surprise foreigners flock to places of more worldly learning as well, for their own improvement, see how things are done in Thailand, etc., etc. And yes, in Thailand pigs can fly

As Rott has already noted: "To date, 1,407 foreign suspects have been arrested at 3,716 locations across the country."
How does that work? Arrest the suspect, then let him go, then re-arrest him?

It may be a form of work sharing, arresting 35% of a suspect at each location could help with bonuses.
