The misses once brought me something she'd seen at the market, with an unknown name on the box, having been told "oh yes farang like pizza". The fact that she'd never seen me order or eat one did not register, it was a treat for me and that was the end of it.
One look inside the box at this thing covered in mayo was enough. Never did find out if there was any cheese or tomato inside.

Never did find out if there was any cheese or tomato inside. There's a lady in our local market who does the mayo pizza thing using an electric convection oven for cooking them. One look at them and you know that you would not allow that crap to pass your mustache (or bald lips). I'm presuming that at most markets up and down Thailand there will be one of these pizza ladies and I would wager my life savings that not one would be even close to a real pizza. Freck, even edible would be a start. |

And to think that on his recommendation I spent hours getting to a deserted alehouse down the arse end of Sukhumvit. In conversation with the genial host I elicited the fact that "none of the customers fom my old place come here. Well, except one". That's loyalty and friendship for you. Well I was at a loose end and it passed a few hours, I often look up new bars I see casually mentioned. And for that I get the worst food in Thailand wished on me.  |

Thankfully there was a Likay concert on at the local temple just across the soi. |
