Good to see your discipline,I never drank on school days and sadly on more than one occasion I as a departmental and school had to deal with staff who despite our help could not control their desires for alcohol as well as other substance. On the town with friends does at times get frantic but still tends to be manageable.

Winter looks to be a long haul. Beware the beer though. Solitary comfort is fine as long as you're in control. No beer on school nights, and four max on weekends unless I want to hit the town with friends, then the sky is the limit. Alcoholism is a blight on society here,it really messes folks up. I was in my local shop last night getting some coffee, the woman in front of me buys a half bottle of vodka from the counter and necks it there and then- she had the shakes before.

I thought that I had found it in St Petersburg a few years back until my tour guide turned up semi-sober one morning. Before myself and Mr. Smokes accepts your invitation to go back to your crib and eeeeerm check out your sketches, we will need to clarify the following points. 1/. What time do the local shops start selling breakfast alcohol? 2/. Is toking legal/acceptable/doable? 3/. Is Preggo available and free flowing? 4/. Which wardrobe do we have to walk through to find this magical land? Got to go, hands are trembling again, need to take my liquid meds. |

I'm a little surprised on seeing the infrastructure, was expecting stoney hills, donkeys and stuff.
Michael Palins fault or maybe my ignorance.

I must echo these concerns and remind you that Vodka is not really alcoholic since it is calorie free....actually its just water really. |

We have a problem with "Yellow Death" here; fake vodka which is mostly chemicals and ethanol,one bender is enough to pickle the liver and it is game over. Weed is illigal, but it grows wild, so... As it happens I did get very hungry this weekend so hunted down Mexican food.   |

^ Mostly, it is the ger (yurt) district, a shanty town area where the rural poor moved to after every Mongolian was gifted land by the government. With no electric or central heating they have to burn coal or anything else they can find. Add into the equation leaded fuel and coal fired power plants from Soviet times and you have the recipe for smog. Last nights smogfest has already hit my students hard, lots of coughing and a few off school with one holed up in the local hospital with asthma complications. As for me, my sinuses feel like I have been snorting marching powder for days
