Interesting how quickly Putin's RT comes with these articles. Almost as if they knew about it before. Of course, RT isn't just reporting on German incidents, they're really open to incidents in any country Putin wants destabilised. Police has contact with the hostage taker and there seems to be one hostage only, a woman. No shots fired, no dead. "Die Polizei hat nach eigenen Angaben Kontakt zu dem Geiselnehmer im Kölner Hauptbahnhof. Er soll eine Frau in seiner Gewalt haben." Furthermore more appeals by the police not to spread rumours, not to post photos or videos of the police in action neither 'stream' life as that would only help the hostage taker. No mystery they apply filters to find the 'right' items. At least that is what sounds more like it. Putin's boiler room boys are very good at that. |

Problem solved. Hostage taker is under re-animation having been seriously injured 'somehow'. More important is that the woman hostage has been freed and is unharmed, but probably still in a bit of shock. Motiv? Unknown. Identity? Unknown.

Still a bit unclear, but one 14-yo girl may have been wounded before as a attacker threw some burning 'something' at people in a fastfoodshop. The girl has light burns and is being helped in hospital.
The attacker is still in critical condition.

What was publicly known when I wrote my post and what is known now may differ, but has nothing to do with 'PC crab'. Furthermore I'm not bothering with 'jihadwatch' or other conspiracy theory sites. Especially the comments tend to be real wild and imaginative at times. I will stick to more factual sites. The attack might be classified as a terror attack, was said during a press conference of the police in the evening. Witnesses have said the suspect was supposed to have said to be part of ISIS. "Ein Terroranschlag sei nicht ausgeschlossen, hieß es bei einer Pressekonferenz der Polizei am Abend. Zeugen erklärten, dass der Mann geäußert haben soll, dass er zur Terrormiliz Islamischen Staat (IS) gehört." BTW 'shots fired' as in the topic title? Oh, you mean AFTER the hostage taking at the time the police shot the suspect. Now that's twisting the timeline, hearing shots not yet fired. |

No further comment needed beyond let's hope that sets a marker for others of his ilk.
