Except he didn't write "scouser", but "scougge". The British education system has a lot to answer for.
Incidentally the recent TripAdvisor reviews of the gate are amusing:
"Do you like watching PRC Chinese pick their noses or spit on the pavement? Or perhaps walking on pigeon poop is your thing. Then you might enjoy this pile of bricks. Otherwise, a big waste of time. Don't bother."
"Come for the history and stay to watch tourists get pigeons to fly onto them and pose for absurd photos. Also solid people watching for wedding pictures and large screaming Chinese tour groups."
"Nice open space which is unfortunately ruined by thousands of pigeons being fed by screaming Chinese tourists trying to get the perfect selfie while they do it.
After dark it is frequented by male sex workers and westerners looking for the same."

Well to my mind, (and sod human rights ) such people should be denied the right to passports, they are a liability to both themselves and those countries the inflict themselves upon. All that theatrical hand wringing acting and the crocodile tears rhetoric may well absolve him of blame for his actions in the U K but it isn't likely to endear much sympathy for his actions here. As an aside according to the prognosis regarding his ''ailments'' it would seem as if gainful employment as a gardener in Kent paid extremely well, however I am led to wonder as to who or what activity or activities may have been involved in his gardening activities, '' thinning out the weeds'' perhaps, such an activity may well have funded his jaunt to Thailand. Rule of thumb used to be, if it talks like a scouse, shake its hand, count fingers when hand returned then nick the bugger

It's hardly an ancient wall, I have children older than this tourist attraction: bytelife.altervista.org/history.htmFrom the article: The modern Thapae Gate (or Tha Phae Gate) looks from afar like a modern wall, and it certainly is contemporary. It is a totally straight reconstruction from 1985 built around a concrete structure; it is very loosely based on an old photograph of the Thapae Gate from 1899. Therefore, the new Thapae Gate wall is very much fake and has nothing to do with the original gate and walls. It is oversized, nothing in the material is original, the ramparts are too large, and everything is totally fake. The only part that looks like the original is the hardwood door which looks like the city door on the historical photo.

Basically regarded as bumpkins, some tried to mix and mingle with better known London S E faces but never really did well.
Your fellow sweaties from''Glasgew'' weren't a bad lot, lines were drawn, slaps handed out, played the game, got caught took what was coming, hard bastards they were, but honourable in the criminal fashion.

""he'd been "drinking all day" and said he was "blind drunk" when he picked up the can at 4am yesterday.""
That's an excuse?

Wasn't Amy a Brummie? Mind you, it could have been worse, at least the famous chef duo are not Brummies.

I don't think SirPolee trusts anyone Tony....he'd have probably had the handcuffs on Thatcher if he'd ever met her.

He used to sell gimp masks from his private collection.....you must have heard the stories of Michael Hutchence visiting his Bangkok mansion.

I did actually meet her and Ted Heath at a social event where I was a guest shortly before she moved Ted on.
Had a chat with Ted who spoke at you and down to you, a stiff formal condescending person with a personalty and handshake that put me in mind of a cold kipper, socially inept
Margaret was totally different, relaxed, spoke to you, relaxed in her manner, she exuded power from her handshake and speech as well as her presence. Very firm handshake powerful and welcoming.
