We went to the Thai Human Imagery Museum last year, and we really enjoyed itum
When my Mrs went to pay the guy selling tickets he asked her how many foreigners? She replied 2. The guy looked past her and said "I see 3". She was counting me as a Thai 555.

I just got back from the Erewan Museum. I did not even realize but it was 400 baht for foreigners. Cool place though. I will probably throw a video about it together soon.

That could or could not equate to promoting it, depending on the pov. For you it sounds like I was not promoting it.

Mistaken I may well be, the one I had in mind was the Penitentiary Museum which is more or less on the corner of Charoen Krung and Maha Chai. Near enough to Chinatown.
Assuming of course that it is still there, my Bangkok Handy Atlas could be a touch out of date.

I wanted to further respond to ayg's post. It is sort of weird to continue countering a post I essentially agree with (I am not a fan of dual pricing either). But yeah, here goes... Life is too short. There is dual pricing somewhere. <duck> it and enjoy yourself instead of throwing your day into a self induced hissy There are all sorts of dual pricing scenarios in the states. I remember i was getting into Disneyland for 20 bucks with a CA ID for a while. Junior college tuition for me was drastically reduced for me, we are talking 12 dollars per unit vs over a hundred i believe. The list could go on. I think ayg is looking at it with the wrong attitude (not that I have not had the same attitude on many occasions). For example, I sit down and eat authentic, amazing Thai food on a daily basis for a <duck>ing dollar! Right there, one meal relative to the same dishin the US (which would not be as good by the way), I am saving about 7 or 8 bucks after tip etc. ONE bowl of good noodles on the street just covered my extra fee to get into Erewan I just posted this to try and convince people to look at dual pricing with a bit more of a positive spin. As I have said for about ten years now, the worst, most detrimental arguemnts and discussions always happen when I am right. 100%. Ayg is right, but that does not mean we have to let dual pricing make us miss out on life, because living here we are coming out way ahead in the end in my opinion.

In Australia we have dusk pricing also. If the fence isn't high enough, why pay at all?

Game parks in East Africa have/had heavily discounted prices for locals, the conventional wisdom was that this was a good thing otherwise local (i.e. poor) people would not be able to enjoy the beauty of their own countries.
That was how it was explained anyway, if you felt differently you had the traditional two choices as it was just a fact of life.

^^^ when I was in Saudi, the Governor of the Asir region opened a "natural history" museum of bygone artifacts and told the locals, this all belongs to you, feel free to enjoy.
After the ribbon cutting ceremony and photos were taken, he ferked off back to Riyadh, the local bedo and tihami rocked up in their Landcruisers and emptied the place.
Priceless artifacts were being used as ashtrays.
I was unaware there was such a thing as saudi pikeys, but there you go, learn something new everyday.

Probably changed now but I liked the way India used to handle its museums. They had one day of the week free to all (whatever race_) and the rest had one charge for all. They reasoned that at least the heritage was available to all even though the free day was a bit crowded.
