On Al Jazeera I have just seen that Ecuador are virtually refusing admission to any more Venezuelans on the grounds that "they cannot absorb any more".
So one rule for them and another for the western world who are derided as racist if they apply this simple logic to would be immigrants.
(Yes I am plagiarising VIZ mag.)

Since apples and oranges are so (near) identical, buying apples and getting oranges should be legally acceptable.

That's easy for you to say. Well, look on the bright side. That's at least one thing we seem to agree on

Actually rubes I was referring to what at first glance was your convoluted grammar, and plagiarising Bernard Manning this time.
But to take your point up Ecuador are taking in people of basically the same colour, creed and language so while it is currently a strain there should not be a long term assimilation problem. Though if Venezuela's problems are solved within a few years presumably most will return.
The UK and the west in general are supposed to gladly throw their gates (and the Treasury) open to those who in too many cases do not have and do not wish to have any common cause with their hosts. Just a desire to grab what is available. And should anybody comment about the strain on finances, infrastructure, housing, hospitals, prisons etc tut tut racism again.

I didn't even know who Bernard Manning was. First had to check in wiki. As such accusing me of plagiarism, copying Bernard, is totally incorrect. Now of course I'm a bit hesitant to admit that your remark suggests that a British comedian and your beloved Dutch uncle had similar thoughts
