I've been told I may have osteoporosis, and I need to get the weight off my feet. The only thing that's keeping me walking is mainly pain killers. Without them I'm like a cripple. I'm looking for either walkers or crutches, the prices I've seen in pharmacies are 8000 baht for large adult sized crutches. I'm not seeing any walkers around. Will government hospitals sell, and at what price if so. I'm trying to improve my diet too. More food with calcium, vitamin D and K. We've 2kg of broccoli . Took me 4 doctors before I could get through I want to try to fix this without popping pills for ever. I thought a knackered back hurt, this has it beat. Don't get old.

Most of the stuff here is made for smaller people and is probably too close to the ground. www.healthproductsforyou.com/c-mobility-aids.html was not too bad with a small item I bought though a reship service may save freight.

Well this lot are scared shitless of an election. Hell I thought the be carrying Barry Sheerman out in a bloody box. Shame on Paula Sherriff for bringing Jo Cox into it.

A decent local carpenter would knock some up for a smaller price.
Just an idea...

Tesco Rama 3 had some the other day, so I guess other Tesco branches might. They were near the pharmacy / medicines area Didn't have time to have a proper look but they seemed reasonably priced - few hundred baht or so. They also had crutches which surprised me - light aluminimum (?) frames - again a few hundred baht for adult size. I'd also been on the look out for both walking sticks and crutches a while back, but problem sorted for now. Lazada are worth a look. Just go to their page and type "walking stick" or similar in the search box. There's a hundred or so pages come up, with just parts at the start. Actual sticks range from 83 baht up to 8,000+ I'm quite a fan of Lazada for cheaper items. Easy to use once you register and they deliver. www.lazada.co.th/catalog/?q=walking+stick+&_keyori=ss&from=input&spm=a2o4m.searchlistcategory.search.go.34bb47db9UAegh

Could make some great looking sticks though, with naga's wrapped around and maybe naked Siam lady or a buddha near the handles.
Ultimate gangster sticks.
The guys at the sanctuary would be ideal for that.

I always use COD so it does not get lost in the last mile. Never had one missing yet. Return as not needed per the product warantee on sale page upheld and paid in 7 days. I get my coffee there from Doi AngKhan and my dogfood there every month. THe main thing you need to watch are you are dealing with lazada itself. If a merchant check its reputation.

I got some crutches from the local rural hospital. The walkers looked a bit small.

When I read the thread title I thought it would be about African street hookers in BKK.
Odd mind I suppose.

I used to think these things were the stuff of legened or an urban myth, until I watched a Thai guy pull one out a few years ago, has a quick release mechanism, and was about 3 feet long.
