I'm sure dear Donald Trump can explain the possible misunderstanding. BTW we're still haggling over the "real and final" numbers but this seems 'about' reasonable. Regarding Auschwitz "Of the 1.3 million people sent to Auschwitz, 1.1 million died. The death toll includes 960,000 Jews (865,000 of whom were gassed on arrival), 74,000 non-Jewish Poles, 21,000 Roma, 15,000 Soviet prisoners of war, and up to 15,000 other Europeans.[5] Those not gassed died of starvation, exhaustion, disease, individual executions, or beatings. Others were killed during medical experiments." en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Auschwitz_concentration_campPS rabbi Avi Weiss, who retired in 2015, calls himself an "Open Orthodox". Not sure what the 'open' part has to do with his rather orthodox views though. "Open Orthodoxy is a form of Judaism that emphasizes intellectual openness, a spiritual dimension, a broad concern for all Jews, and a more expansive role for women.[1] The term was coined in 1997 by Avi Weiss, who views halakha as being more flexible than his more traditional counterparts. ... He states that all Orthodox Judaism, including Open Orthodoxy, fundamentally differs from Conservative Judaism in three areas. 1. Orthodox Jews believe that the Torah was given by God at Mount Sinai in its current form. ..." en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Open_Orthodoxy
