That's possibly true. But as of a couple of years ago when the stock was cheap, it wasn't, the train has long since left the station and the time to get on it was then, not now! As for what might happen in the future regarding growth and market share, who knows, but having 20% of market share wouldn't exactly be undesirable. And if Musk can continue to improve the profit per car ratio VW better hope it can do the same otherwise it wont remain in competition very long....do you think VW gets 23% per vehicle, I seriously doubt it. EDIT TO ADD: A good article here, read also the links in the article giving brokers vioews: www.forbes.com/sites/sergeiklebnikov/2020/07/01/tesla-is-now-the-worlds-most-valuable-car-company-with-a-valuation-of-208-billion/#39d6e27b5334

Would I buy Tesla, no chance, am I glad I have exposure to it, you bet.
I guess it all depends on where you are on the curve, my SM shares have risen about 600%, my Polar share are about over 300%.
We are now back to the old, stick or twist conundrum, if I cash in, where do I park my cash?
My stock was bought for the long term, eg 10 years plus, I will take a few hits along the way, and will be ruthless if certain stocks arent cutting the mustard.

Must have been about 18 months ago, where I read about the Polar cap tech trust here on this very forum. Looked good, my broker concurred it is one they recommend also, and also good diversity away from my mainly UK based individual shares and investments. Well 60% up in that timeframe is incredible. Thanks guys, I owe you all beers! Also had FEET, it is up 1% in a similar timeframe - very poor performance, and will sell this, and put the money into more HFEL which I keep for the quarterly divis.
Watching Aberdeen Thai trust it has fallen quite a lot recently. Any thoughts on this one?

Watching Aberdeen Thai trust it has fallen quite a lot recently. Any thoughts on this one? Aberdeen, I would take the hit and offload. Concur ref FEET, as above offload. You mention HFEL, have you considered this, much better capital growth perfomance, if you need income just take profits at the end of the year, personally I wouldnt touch HFEL, its taken a hammering performance wise, but that just me. www.trustnet.com/factsheets/t/fe59/jp-morgan-emerging-markets-it-plcwww.hl.co.uk/shares/shares-search-results/j/jpmorgan-emerging-markets-it-plc-ord-25pwww.hl.co.uk/shares/shares-search-results/h/henderson-far-east-income-ltd-ord-npvHeres another you may to consider, its on my watch list, and will probably be purchased next year. www.trustnet.com/factsheets/t/hd51/herald-investment-trust-plcwww.hl.co.uk/shares/shares-search-results/h/herald-investment-trust-ordinary-25pIt should be noted, I am a capital growth investor, and not worried about regular income in the form of divis.

I second JPM EM, it's returned 23% in the past year that I've held the B Acc fund.
