Interesting read, put here as all examples seem related to the USA. Mind you, personally I see disinformation as a global threat. "Smear Campaigns Seek to ‘Red-Pill’ Boomers with Fake Snopes Content We'll give them this: "Operation Snopes-Piercer" isn't the worst name we've heard for a smear campaign. In October 2020, a series of threads was posted to the anonymous internet forum 4Chan as part of operation “Snopes-Piercer,” a smear campaign with the stated goal of “red-pilling some normies” — internet slang for a propaganda technique in which distorted, fabricated, or skewed information is used to further a self-determined “truth.” In order to “red-pill” these people (one thread noted that “boomers” were the primary target), the plan was to create and circulate doctored screenshots of Snopes fact checks to make it appear as if Snopes fact-checkers addressed claims that we had not." www.snopes.com/news/2020/10/22/red-pill-smear-campaigns/

After the Hillary hammer debacle I'm surprised anybody feels the need to troll snopes, they do it all to themselves. Their fact check of whether our Hills destroyed her hard drives with a hammer is "mixed". They say this because the decrepit tongue-lesioned one got one of her flunkies to do the bashing. I mean, seriously, who the heck thinks Bill has a hammer laying around chez Clinton? Temptation or what. www.snopes.com/fact-check/hillary-clinton-smash-phone-hammer/What's True One of Hillary Clinton's aides told the FBI that on two occasions he disposed of her unwanted mobile devices by breaking or hammering them. What's False Hillary Clinton did not personally destroy her phone with a hammer. 55555 snopes, you are garbage propaganda for the TDS afflicted.

Interesting, does that mean all Trumps will hand over their mobile phones after the election? William Barr, Pompeo, dear Jared? What is the official procedure for disposing of old mobile phone? "The One Thing Robert Mueller’s Wiped Phones And Hillary Clinton’s Deleted Emails Have In Common With less than two months before the 2020 election, a controversy over the mobile phones used by Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia investigation team is beginning to make headlines. For many, the new so-called “Phonegate” scandal has echoes of the 2016 controversy over Hillary Clinton emails. And it’s true, they do have one key thing in common: Both are much ado about nothing, but have the ability to change an election. The newest controversy relates to recently released records from the Department of Justice. The previously undisclosed records reveal that some of the cellphones used by attorneys and investigators on Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s team had their cell phones a wiped during the Russia investigation by the Special Counsel’s office. The erasures of data on the phones were the result of their investigators forgetting passwords, breaking or losing devises and other reasons mobile devices are often reset to factory settings. The newly seen records, released in response to a request by Judicial Watch, a conservative foundation that claiming to promote “transparency, accountability and integrity in government, politics and the law” was immediately seized upon by supporters of President Trump and other critics of the Mueller investigation. Despite the fact that the DOJ’s Office of the Inspector General (OIG) investigation of the underlying conduct of the FBI and Mueller investigators found that there was no improper conduct, Republican critics of the probe have not been swayed by the findings." www.forbes.com/sites/sethcohen/2020/09/12/the-one-thing-robert-muellers-phones-and-hillary-clintons-emails-have-in-common/#43295350216f

"Republicans use congressional hearing to berate tech CEOs and claim Trump is 'censored' Hearing with Twitter, Facebook and Google CEOs was meant to focus on section 230, a law that protects internet companies Republican lawmakers berated the CEOs of Twitter, Facebook and Google in a hearing that was ostensibly about a federal law protecting internet companies but mostly focused on how those companies deal with disinformation from Donald Trump and other conservatives. Jack Dorsey, Mark Zuckerberg and Sundar Pichai testified before Congress on Wednesday about section 230 of the Communications Decency Act, a law underpinning US internet regulation that exempts platforms from legal liability for content generated by its users. Section 230 hearings: Twitter, Facebook and Google CEOs testify before Congress – as it happened Read more The hearing was meant to investigate “how best to preserve the internet as a forum for open discourse”, according to the Senate judiciary committee, but came largely in response to allegations from Republicans and the president of anti-conservative bias in the tech world. Those accusations are unsubstantiated. In fact, a recent report alleged that Facebook had suppressed progressive content to appease Republican lawmakers. Still, Republicans on the committee accused the CEOs of “censoring” the president, and questioned them about their decision-making around labeling some of the president’s social media posts as misinformation. The Republican chair of the committee, Roger Wicker, opened the hearing criticizing Twitter and Facebook’s decision to limit sharing of an unverified political story by the New York Post about the Democratic presidential nominee, Joe Biden, and Twitter’s labeling of a Trump tweet casting doubt on mail-in ballots as potential misinformation." www.theguardian.com/us-news/2020/oct/28/section-230-congress-hearings-facebook-google-twitter-trump-republicans

I guess our dear member 88 doesn't mean tds as in "social-media hashtag in reference to the Tour De Suisse bike race" but TDS as in "Trump Derangement Syndrome". It's a term applied to people who express deep loathing and fear of President Donald Trump. It's usually used by Trump supporters for liberals. Personally I think it stands for "Trump's Derangement Syndrome". Nothing to do with liberals and not even with Trump's supporters (who wish him well of course)
