Finding it very tricky to find a pub selling good Guinness lately. Saw a post about Guinness 0.0 and it triggered me to ask for this important advice
WHICH PUBS HAVE FRESH GUINNESS???

I feel your pain, you are not alone. In a city of 10 million+, why is it so hard to find a decent boozer selling decent ale, even the plastic paddy pubs seem to be catering to the lowest common denominator, TEFLr types knocking back cheapo 99 baht pints of euro fizz, or the southern island types with man buns wanting bia chang.
Bkk has never been the same ever since Jools closed its doors.

Jools merely moved across town to Samsen...yes yes rgs I shall provide kleenex and fisherman pants. On Guinness I cannot help the OP...never touch the stuff.

^^^ I get a nosebleed just going up the stairs to get the skytrain back to the boonies.
Dont know of any boozer that moved elsewhere and made a success of it.
You are correct about Nana, nothing in the part of town for me, more of a Tawana type boozer myself, its blether approved, good enough for me.
My days of mixing with merchant bankers and crypto currency millionaire types are long gone, would rather be on the p**s with the somchais, at least they aint trying to rip me off.

I've seen the new Jools and I recommend you don't bother. Sheepshank on the river down there is very pleasant however with some excellent beers....a nod to the OP there...but not Guinness I think.

Its 30, right beside where I do a u turn to head to the Lover, . The Londoner, the good thing about them is, they own the property, popular with locals, thankfully the fishermans pants brigade are nowhere to be seen. For the op, try chequers on soi 4.

My best times in Jools was when fletch and matty owned it, after them, Big dave. The old bangkok types like Stan and Big Spence moved onto contracts elsewhere, the latest bunch of freshies werent the same, they arrived too late, they were looking for something that no longer existed.

Next you'll be telling me tales about the Offshore....my only recollection is how difficult it was to pull my azz off the bar stools...well chairs really.....and the greasy stench of course.

I love the smell of stale chips in the morning, the place reminded me of a greasy spoon I used to use on the A1. Did I ever tell you tales about how we used to go tiger hunting on the back of elephants in Lumpini Park?

I still lament the downfall of the Crossbar....a shithole yes but it was a friendly local like no other remaining in Bangkok today.
Her indoors is delighted which says it all I think.

Remember going to his new place up in on nut, but the twat had sold it and moved on before we were able to give him any abuse, last I heard he was down Hua Hin way.

All of the years he dished out shitty grub from the back of the pub and Brian has now got his mojo and selling barbecue ribs etc in Hua Hin....I've tried them...they really are excellent...the irony as I used to avoid most of the crap sold in his Bangkok pub.
