Jefferson Starship - White Rabbit - 11/8/1975 - Winterland (Official) A decade later Starship sounded a bit different Starship - Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now (Official Music Video) Rock trivia: Jefferson Starship and Starship were two very different bands. The original JS contained some brilliant musicians including David Cosby, Graham Nash and Jerry Garcia yet it was known primarily for having Grace Slick as lead vocalist. Starship on the other hand saw Mickey Thomas take over much of the vocals and his singing voice is not dissimilar to that of Grace Slick and it was easy to confuse the two, gone however were the more famous and more capable musicians who had earlier helped propel JS to fame - later, SS became Mickey Tomas Starship or similar. And, Mickey Dolenz of The Monkees fame was also a member of SS if I recall correctly. |
