Only the day after the Tatmadaw issued a statement promising to "do everything possible to adhere to the democratic norms of free and fair elections". It's a very sad day for Burma. Attachment Deleted

Well if I was Thailand I'd be watching the borders.

Is he wrong? As the Thais taught me, not my family, not my problem. I learned a new slur today, I was called a gammon, by some sjw type with a worthless degree in something like social sciences, I asked her how long she had spent in this part of the world, she refused to answer, so resorted to the usual if I am losing the argument call the person asking the question a racist. I told her to eff off and read Burmese Days. Nothing more than cultural imperialism, this part of the world doesnt understand the democracy you speak of. Uncle Sam has spent billions if not trillions bombing these savages back to the stone age, and still he cant understand, why they dont understand democracy.

"As the Thais taught me, not my family, not my problem."
(1) Burma is part of the ASEAN family.
(2) Conditions in Burma will inevitably deteriorate under the Tatmadaw, leading to a greater flow of economic migrants and refugees into Thailand, which is "my problem" - particularly if they carry some deadly plague.

That "problem" is an essential part of the Thai labourforce and its economy, in good times, without it there would be no fishing or construction industries. As long as migrant health is checked and controlled there won't be an issue, anyway, that part of the problem is outside of Myanmar, what happens inside is down to them and is their problem. You only have to cast your mind back to pre Suu Kyi days to understand what that economic flow might look like....again, it was manageable then and it'll be manageable this time also.

ASEAN countries don't usually interfere in other ASEAN members internal affairs.

Your sjw walks an extra 100 yards to save 20 Baht on her laundry. Gotta love em.
