Can anyone recommend an SSF fund that invests in global equities (instead of Thai stocks)?
I realized that the SSF scheme allows this so I’m considering taking the tax deduction. I don’t want more exposure in Thai equities than I already have through my LTFs, but would be ok with global equities. The fees are ridiculous of course. And then some of them seem to be investing most of the money in other funds (that they don’t manage themselves such as Allianz or Fidelity), so I’m wondering for what I’m paying the Thai fund manager huge fees when he’s just investing in another fund. But whatever.
Ideally I would like to have something like the MSCI World but that doesn’t seem to exist. Closest to that is one SCB fund based on the S&P500 and two funds investing in “future growth” markets from Bualuang and ONE.
That ONE-UGG is investing mainly in Baillie Gifford growth funds and I think I read here that people consider Baillie Gifford a Good choice.
Bualuang B-Future is investing mainly in an AI fund from Allianz and a China Consumer fund from Fidelity.

Sorry cannot help you, not something I have even considered, I believe better returns can be found elsewhere.
Thanks for the reminder, I should really get off my ass and pay UOB a visit in Sathorn.

BG has many funds, I am invested in at least 4. Yes I consider BG an excellent choice.

Top holdings are Amazon, Alibaba, Tencent, Tesla, which explains the good performance so far. That being said, guess it’s difficult to say how that fund will perform going forward when heavily overvalued companies such as Tesla etc. are subject to correction. Generally I’m a bit hesitant to invest in something that’s so concentrated in hyped stocks. But on the other hand I haven’t really read the BG material yet what their investment strategy of the fund is. Maybe that could provide some clues how they may invest when markets go down.

Funnily enough, thats one of the few BG funds I am not invested in, you may wish to research these. www.hl.co.uk/shares/shares-search-results/m/monks-investment-trust-ordinary-5pwww.trustnet.com/factsheets/t/eb16/edinburgh-worldwide-it-plcI hold both the above.
