I see normal service has been resumed. Eh up he's back. Your mate's been looking everywhere for you. Had shit to do. Told you before, I dont have any mates, . Your task if your are up to it, find me a boozer in Pattaya that sells decent booze, not interested in cheapo 70 baht bottles of gassy fizzy euro p**s water lager. Anything up to 250 baht per pint or bottle will do, PS, no plastic paddy pubs.

Can't remember the last time I was up to anything, but something as easy as a place selling imported beers during a lockdown and curfew, well shouldn't be a problem. Not a small one anyway. Any idea of a date when this will be required. The Lek has been closed since January.

rgs if you are thinking of the days when a dry day meant people openly in bars but drinking out of cups it ain't like that. Bars are closed, entry is by the side door, numbers are kept small, quiet is the rule. If you give me the names of some of the beers you would like I would have a chance of finding some. But walking into a random bar and seeing them, no chance. And what dates.?

Kaek told me she spends most of her day replying to emails with the same answer, no reopening date.

Beers such as, Old Speckled Hen, London Pride, etc etc, the Butchers used to have a nice selection. Probably next year despite what Pattayas finest influncers will tell you on Utube.

I am at an age now where quality is more important to me than quantity. However, to answer your question, probably about the same time as they stopped selling Amarit draft and Klosters. I dont subscribe to the school of though that says, no such thing as a bad beer.

I remember the side door at the old thermae, that was interesting. Could never understand the fascination with the place, I remember the original, at the time there were way better places for all night drinking. I have been to the new place a couple of times, thats only to take newbees who wanted to experience it.

FFS. Thought you meant next month. Only time I've seen Fullers Was the Queen's Arms now Cheap Charlie's. Best chance could be Witherspoons, Dean ex-Retox is Manager. The Butchers is now a craft burger place, i-rover poss but run bt a paddy, Robin Hood poss but these are not my places. Same with Frasers by Jomtien. Some smaller places might do it on request but they have been burnt in the past so may want a deposit.!!! But until nearer the time it is all conjecture. Have a good day as they say. The selection and availability is less than Bangkapi as the customer base is less cosmopolitan and more price sensitive.

I concur, all right for eating and a full monty brekkie, but not for drinking. , up here the locals drink posh Leo, names like Hoe Garden and Paulaner.

I still remember the excitement when Carlsberg went on sale, more euro p**swater.
