I've been going on a bit recently about how some tech companies are seemingly overvalued - completely irrationally in my opinion. Anyway, the great vampire squid wrapped around the face of humanity, relentlessly jamming its blood funnel into anything that smells like money* has created an index of not-yet-profitable technology companies. It looks like this: and the index constituents are: Whilst it's possible to criticise Goldman Sachs' methodology, it does suggest that something has changed dramatically in the last couple of years. How long can markets stay this irrational? Or is can these valuations be sustained? (Sorry, just joking with the second question.) * Quotation from Rolling Stone magazine.

, rolling stone, a left wing rag. Anyway to use Americanisms, I believe the correct terminolgy is, betting on the come. Bit early for april 1 is it not.
