Not sure what to think of this published by the FB PR Thai Goverment. I thought you needed proper papers to be allowed to work here. Did the rules change? "Thailand's three major cities are among the best places in the world for a "workation" (Work+Vacation). A survey conducted by Holidu, a UK-based travel website, has resulted in a list of the Best Cities for a Workation, which includes 30 cities around the world that provide an ideal work-holiday experience. The list provides a fairly thorough analysis, based on a set of factors that are required for a decent workation. For example, internet speed, the average price of a coffee or meal at a local restaurant, the monthly cost of accommodation, and some surprises, such as the number of photos posted on Instagram and the activities recommended by Tripadvisor. Survey respondents have voted Bangkok as the best city for a workation. Two other cities in Thailand have also snatched spots in the top 10, namely Chiang Mai and Phuket. Although there are still challenges with coming to Thailand, the Phuket Sandbox scheme has helped facilitate the entry of international workationers into the country." web.facebook.com/thailandprd/photos/a.251619424861479/4575190955837616/?__cft__[0]=AZXts6YDSdeZUekWRernCp4UWHbfYnprlgKgUK8V7KPtRY-566b2TcodfVgPPrN_thwNNL2ClcciWqueXxm0omhtoJd8vulZ-HKZSX7aiQYdM0k5dy5UvC_GsbYP4dr7QHEouRlfNxNe8oQegBzZGEwl5IBLyJ2kpFGjYmvEC2d188QdT3FuraxvnPQCs4B55eo&__tn__=EH-R

The rules are always subject to interpretation, adaptation, misunderstandings and even change.
