He was such a genius it was just a pity that he wasn't great on Common Sense/Commercial understanding. His Sinclair Spectrum was an absolute delight to kids growing up in that era and really displayed his brilliance. Whilst his C5 was a flop from day 1 though the idea and technical wizardry were ahead of their time. Sinclair vehicles went bust shortly after launch and he sold Sinclair Computers to Alan Sugar to try and save some of his wealth. I often wonder what wonderful products we would have seen on the market if those two had ever partnered up. R.I.P. Clive and thank you for all you gave us.

Without his elecronic calculator and a series of small low cost computers thousands of people would never have been introduced to the wonders of computing and many prominent people would have remained in their original status.
