Final communication, different venue 620 ml bottle of Leo 120 baht. For Bkk thats actually not to bad, almost Tree Town prices. For BKK Sukhumvit Asoke/Phrompong it is a bit rare. But one mustn't mention money here, not done, like farting in Church.

Happy hour price for draught Tiger 99 baht. Of course the "pint" means 500 ml including a substantial head. Cant beat a bit of head, was that extra? Asking for a friend. Rude devil.

There will be guys on TVF who can tell you the cost, to three decimal places. They have specially adapted tongues that can reach inside a bottle and wipe the sides clean, their pockets are stuffed with bottle caps because hey, they've got a value too. Why do I think all these gits are having a go at me.? Last time I tip anyone off about a decent happy hour. I am too polite to suggest the reason one of the other gits doesn't know the price anywhere. He's not known as the minesweeper for nothing. Not really my end of town but I thought the Offshore was long gone. Such a sensitive soul you have rott. My comment was rooted in truth...no more than that. I recall a Spanish or Mexican place by the corner of Patpong used to do a ridiculously cheap afternoon beer buffet. I wonder if that is still going strong?

So to prices....they have not changed in years.
120B Happy hr 4-7 or till 9pm if you can find it.
160B for the flush.
90% at least of expats are at home by 8pm.

True, they have not increased much if at all in years. Though how you are aware of this when you do not know prices evades me. Covid discounts are all around (except Patpong) ie 99 baht pints. No clue what the flush is. Expats who have proper jobs will be home early but not always by 8 I wouldn't have thought. Expats who drank at Jools used to move up to the Plaza by 9ish. The "expats" I knew from Pattaya who used to be on it seemingly all the time, largely fell by the wayside. Livers, kidneys, insides in general let them down. No doubt someone will tell me what the flush is. Don't recall this beer buffet job, last to know as ever. Speaking of the above, I was re-reading the results of the scan I had the other year, which stated heart size normal and other internal organs were "unremarkable", which I suppose is a good thing. The plus side of a limited capacity for alcohol is limited damage to the body.

I wasn't, if that's your inference, I was merely trying to be humorous and parody a stereotype that is oft mentioned here. And sadly the happy hour tips are lost on me given that I no longer imbibe....big sigh. You mean apart from living in CM which shouldn't be a real obstacle when one is desperate determined Don't you have a dyke you need to finger.

The Crossbar used to thin out considerably by half seven weekdays. Her indoors sent me for a health check a year or three ago in Silom and was amazed when I came back with a glowing report. The buggers had me wired up to an ECG and running full tilt on a machine at 1pm as the sun streamed in the window right in my face. The doc doesn't know how close he was to a bit of verbal. Expats now rott...not what they used to be.

I remember seeing a number of restos in Singapore offering "free-flow" , which I assume is the same thing. But a long time since I was there.

Never mind, never mind. Our problems are all over. The Covid numbers are down again so life will soon be back to normal. Commerce and industry will be thriving, harvests plentiful. Free-spending tourists will be gaily thronging the streets and Russians clogging the aisles at BigC.

Perhaps we have met after all?
