Water, ginger, sugar and yeast.
In a bucket with a towel over the top. Wait a week and drink.
Even an old fool like me can get it right.
Just like Pop used to make.

Ignore them oldie, they're trying to calculate the quantities of the ingredients. And if they can borrow or nick a bucket from the one next door.

Something like 8 litres of water, spoonful of yeast, but more than half kilo of sugar, fistfull of ginger (or a good lump of ginger powder), and I forgot, about half a cup of lemon juice or black tea.
Add some spices to suit.
Let it brew for a week or so.

8 litres of water.? Must be a fxxking big bucket. But if you live in a rural area without running water and need to top up at the municipal well I suppose you need to keep plenty in stock.
I believe there are a few others on here with the same problem.

I believe there are a few others on here with the same problem. 8 litres young chap, not 8 megalitres. About 16 glasses if drunk through a straw. |

This is oldies wife.
My useless husband dropped dead from alcoholic and cholesterol overload.
He might have been useless, but at least he was consistent.
