The best phrase to learn in Thai is, oh lor (really), must be said with startled facial expression, as if bestowing respect and admiration on the speaker, really it means, you are talking shite and I dont believe a effin word of what you are saying.
Always make sure to smile when saying it.

My bhuddist friends tell me, everything is just an illusion. I now watch the Wiz of Oz in a different light, not knowing then what I know now. Buddhist friends.

Friends in the Thai usage of the word, eg, he is not my husband, he is not my brother is is just a "friend"
