Straight to 4?

One of favorite pubs in London in the late 60's was the Cockney Pride in Piccadilly. There was a ground floor bar and then three levels of bars beneath that, it was used as an air raid shelter in WWII. Rumour had it there was a door leading to the underground network but I never found out if that was true. A lovely pint of Marstons to be had there, back in the day.


My other favorite was the Shakespeare Head at the entrance to Carnaby Street, again, the lower floor bar was the best one.

Finally a pub we have both frequented...me usually after a swim in the pool near Carnaby St...so old its in imperial measures.
