Carter-Vickers is a great prospect but at 17 he's too young to marshal a defence the way it should be.
You need a really stong centre back who can read the game, is motivated and can motivate others.

I know you might not like him but Ryan Shawcross would add a bit of much needed steel, he wins three quarters of all ariel challenges and is fearless in throwing himself in front of plays to block shots. He does get booked a lot but often sent off, but that doesn't stop him getting the captains armband.

Southampton's Jose Fonte and Nathanial Clyne are two worth looking at, but whether they'd go to Spurs or not is another question.
