Sadly I far that OlPhatHo is no longer with us and he has relocated to a new cosmic address. We used to communicate regularly on issues of mutual interest however that all ceased from early September of last year.
He was in poor health and in his last P.M to me he said he thought his time was up and he had no fear of death. My emails have not been answered as they used to be thus the conclusion that I draw above
He was not a young man, in fact he was a ''Vietnam Vet'' from the early days (around 1964 ish) who had some involvement in the
Gulf of Tomkin issue. He had also mentioned the ''Korea War a time or two as well
He had lived in Thailand for a long time while involved as a regular with the American military and also later after leaving the American military and his wealth of rich memories of Bkk in the late 1960's to early 1980's were indeed wonderful to read.
Indeed as you say Zen he is missed,

He is one poster I always looked forward to seeing here as I would I am sure in real life. Last I heard was he went to Cambodia but it seems it was a longer trip. |

Thanks for the info siampolee, I too used to pm with him, heard many a great story, however he never mentioned his health.
That guy has lived one interesting life and although I didn't lnow him personally he seemed like a real good bloke.
