The idea behind this forum is to shine a light on new, up and coming, and often, superb travel bloggers. While Thailand and South East Asia will be the focus of the forum, guest bloggers will also be invited to pass their views on other parts of the world that may be of interest to members.
Be gentle - most of the members here are longer in the tooth, and highly experienced. That doesn't give us the right to go for the jugular - but at the same time, bloggers should be able to handle feedback. Give me a few days and I'll get some bloggers to come along - one per day in the spotlight.

Will they be members of this forum or simply guests?

Will they be members of this forum or simply guests? Looking at guests at first - If any members have travel blogs then we can feature them here. I have another top class blogger lined up for a post on Monday. I could easily fill the forum with second rate stuff, I think I'd rather have quality revisiting that quantity. What do you think, Shado? ps - if any members know any good bloggers, ask them if we can feature their post(s).

The concept is a good one but I am not sure what you mean by 'guests'.
Can they post in this section without signing up? If that's the case no way. A similar model on another place is by e-mail submissions only, approved by admin, we don't want a bunch of trolling scumbags taking advantage of this section. I know a few good bloggers also. Heads up for the idea blether.

I'd also like to restrict it to one per day give each a moment in the spotlight. I have a cracker lined up for Monday - if you would like to ask your pals which day they wish to be featured that would be great.

Over on another forum, one of these blogger types was ripped to shreds by people who live in the area he blogged about, some even asked if he had ever been in Thailand, never mind where he claimed to have been.
Way too many Digital Pikey types just copying and pasting or plagiarising others.

DTravels Round is a prime example of someone who walks the walk - and the guest blog that's coming this week asked me to wait as they are just coming off a road trip. They also walk the walk. It would be easy to fill the place with dross - no thanks.

I'd like to invite the blogger Niubi Panda here, he's famous in HK/China with some very insightful commentary not just about the travel places but about people, culture, way of life. Hew writes for a magazine, has had a few death threats, see if he wants in here, his latest blog was about Samui simply hilarious.
