Best food court I've found, which is a bit more street-foody that your typical shopping mall food court, is Pink Garden on Sala Daeng Soi 1. It resembles a big marquee style market, but there are no crappy clothes shops and 99 baht plastic jewellery kiosks here, this is filled with dozens of food stalls, selling just about every type of Thai food you can think of, plus a spaghetti stall if you want a bit of western, and a Vietnamese stall doing summer rolls and a few other Vietnamese snacks.
The place is only open a lunch time I think, and it's usually packed. Gets pretty steamy in the hot season too. Prices are around 30 - 40 baht in most stalls, with a few such as the spaghetti and steak place nudging 50-60. They have loads of fruit, drinks (including draught Singha), juices and desserts too. Great place for a tasty and inexpensive lunch. Just don't expect polished floors and fancy chairs though.

Good plan. It's quite far down sala Daeng 1, near Rama 4 road, opposite the side entrance to the HSBC building where the Specialized bike shop is.
