At night when asleep I use the smart phone as a combination night light and digital clock. The notifications are turned off at night except for my children and wife.
The alarm wakes me with light duplicating a sunrise and at the appropriate time reads me the time, date, weather conditions and my to do list for that day.
The phone has 160 gigs of memory and is waterproof. The front is gorilla glass and the back and sides are in an armored case and can be used to drive nails or as a self defense weapon. It is secured with my fingerprint.
It controls and allows me to remotely view 8 home security cameras day or night; normal and infrared light sources and calls me in case of detected motion.
It uses a predictive keyboard which allows me to send a 10 word message with 10 keystrokes and the phone alerts me when the message is delivered.
The phone automatically switches back and forth between wifi and mobile data usage to provide the best connection.
It has a variety of energy modes that allow 2 days to 2 weeks between charges.
The following is a list of other things I use my smart phone to do. 1. Bar code reader. 2. Magnifying with light or without. 3. Call forwarding. 4. VPN. 5. 16 megapixel still and video camera. 6. Plays all my tunes through my speakers at home bluetooth. 7. Connects with my watch for many functions. I can answer and make calls from my watch. 8. Accurate range finder. 9. GPS and compass and other navigation aids. 10. Barometer . 11. Measuring tape. 12. Translates almost any language. 13. Universal remote control for any media devices.
I would not be without my phone night or day on purpose. If lost or stolen; I'd buy another.
