Some "real " men have commented on this site.
No women have , I believe , claimed the "real" woman moniker, probably because they are happy with their sexuality.
As an effeminate, pikey, heterosexual, I do not claim macho qualities. Should I be concerned?

What's 'real' in this context? A 'real' man or a 'real' woman no such thing. A 'Real woman' to me means substance not just fluff. Strong character, direct, no bs but no feminazi, no bimbo airhead, like an oak tree.

A 'real' man can be seen showing emotions in public and not care one iota. At least that's my opinion, take it or leave it, up to you girls and guys. Whatever and let me wave my hands with one or two fingers stretched. My only regret is you can't see it. That spoils things a wee bit

Strong but emotionally available, showing emotions is good, layers, don't be afraid of your sexuality either. Men can wear pink shirts well, just as women can.

It's the upbringing. My first day wearing a pink shirt six or so years ago I did feel a bit funny I must admit

Was it lycra? What's with the obsession some have with lycra? No, it was a cotton shirt with king's logo on the breast pocket and 60 or so in Thai on the right, short sleeve. Similar to the yellow ones, the blue ones, the green ones. Only my orange shirt is free of such add-ons

Just playing with you rubl, and I will tell you this too, hubby likes his 'I love Manila' hot pink apron has no issues that he's not a man if he wears pink. Men in pale pink shirts are cool. It sends a message of sorts.

Well some men feel that if they wear pink their sexuality and macho-ism is on the line. I find it a turn on that a guy is confident enough to wear pink. Noted having a bod like a Cantonese demi gawd does help.
Who's JT for the ignorant.

It sends a message of sorts. I remember a lady friend attending a speed-dating do years ago. She fancied this guy except for the fact that he was wearing a PINK shirt??????????? She stayed single a long time, so she did.

....and what were you doing at a speed dating do blether? What happens at these things? It's Singles Day in HK today and many unattached friends and colleagues are at some speed dating thing. Any good or just a pick up venue? Free drinks for the ladies the men have to pay, always gender silly stuff, there never is a 'free drinks for men' night.

I wasn't there - in the case of my pal, it stuck in my mind that she was so appalled at the guy wearing pink. I also remember her confessing that she burst into tears after the event. Internet date was more my thing but I soon got sick of it. I met my current lady the traditional way - via a friend, in the pub. Being a cunning bastid, I knew it was important for me to get her guide dog to like me - so I made sure I had plenty of mutt biscuits in my pocket. It's these small details that make all the difference you know.
