Well, it's upon us.
I have just left work for a couple of well earned days off, before the craziness starts. My first Songkran was in 2003 and I though it was great fun, albeit acting like a total magnet-only-fools-and-horses-you-plonker , but after a couple of years the novelty has well and truly warn off. I'll be working on the two main days, and I'm glad I am.
I look forward though to seeing some photo's from the snappers.
Whatever you are doing, a Happy New Year and stay safe

:oGet into it boys, I'm stuck in Australia wishing I was there. Spirit of Thailand alive and well!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Last Songkran I drove my Tuk Tuk about 180km up to Chaiyapum getting soaked through every village. I hated it at the then but the memory I'll never forget as an awesome time.

Avoid it like the plague. Getting soaked with canal water is not my thing.

I'll be missing Songkran for the first time in a long while - short business in the states has my attention for about a month...be home first week of May.
Nonetheless, becoming more of the known standard for the local savages to stay put at home - only travel to family homes if needed to. Growing awareness of the road dangers have certainly been entrenched.
Even though the macabre media accident/death count continues to harbor negativities.
All well this holiday to family and friends.

Look's like I'm going to get dragged out for a few hours this afternoon, once work is over. I'll limit it to 2 hours, bloody hate it really

Every observation and familiar celebratory activity will be different from one home to the next.
